Our sister company SquareFish are currently recruiting for a position of SEO Manager. This is full-time, permanent position based in County Cork. The following job description is taken from their website page: SEO Manager, Cork City
SquareFish is a small entrepreneurial company based in Cork. We work with a range of companies, from tech to travel to engineering. For each, we are a full business partner, not just an external supplier.
Generally, we’ll focus on the tech, marketing, and business side of all the companies we partner with. We have a full range of skills in-house to fulfil our partners' needs, without the use of outside agencies.
We’re looking for an experienced SEO Manager to lead two projects in particular — PureVolt Solar (solar panel installations) and Engineers with Drones (drone inspections ). Prior experience in these industries is not required—our marketing and sales teams are knowledgeable, collaborative, and eager to share their insights.
The main areas you'll be in charge of are SEO and CRO for these projects, and there's a small PPC aspect too. While you will be directly responsible for the online growth and maintenance of these projects, you will also work in collaboration with our web-dev team and report directly to our head of SEO.
Our head of SEO is always there if you need help, so there'll be someone you can bounce ideas and strategies off. That said we are looking for someone who is ready to take over projects from day 1, bringing new skills and insights to our company to expand our collective knowledge particularly in SEO, CRO and website analytics.
We can adjust this role and salary to suit your experience and work ambitions. The job role described above is our minimum requirements, and fulfilling those would warrant something at the lower end of the scale. If though you have significantly more experience, and are looking for a larger and more challenging role, then please still talk to us. We can scale up both the salary and the responsibilities of this role to suit you.
We are very keen that you have all the information that you need to see if we are the right company, with the right position for you. This is a two-way process, after all, and we’d expect you to be assessing us too.
There will be time throughout the recruitment process for you to ask us any questions you would like. But, we know doing job applications can be seriously time-consuming, so if you’ve questions you’d like answered before you decide if it’s worth applying, then please just ask.
If you’d like to have a 10-min informal chat about the role, just drop us a note with your details on jobs@squarefish.ie, and we’ll call you back to answer any questions you might have. Also, if you’d like to chat to one of our current team who’s not involved in the recruitment side, to see what we are like as an employer, please just ask. You can do this on a confidential basis, where anything you chat about will not be shared with those recruiting
Closing date for applications: End of Sunday, January 19th 2025
